Fedstats - Offers a full range of statistical information available to the public from the federal government. This site has official statistics collected and published by more than 100 federal agencies.

Census Bureau - The United States Bureau of the Census provides data on disability in a variety of ways.The above link takes you to the Census Bureau Disability Page where you can find out how disability data is collected.

Disability Statistics Center - Based at the University of California, San Francisco, the center produces and disseminates policy-relevant statistical information on the demographics and status of people with disabilities in American society.

Center for Personal Assistance Services - The center provides research, training, dissemination and technical assistance on issues of personal assistance services (PAS) in the United States. Personal Assistance Services (PAS) is help provided to people with disabilities to assist them with tasks essential for daily living.

Disability Statistics - Located at Cornell University, this site takes data from several resources and puts them into a simple user friendly. accessible interface.

NIDRR - National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research provides leadership and support for a comprehensive program of research related to the rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities. The goal of this federal agency is to improve the lives of people with disabilities from birth to adulthood.

National Center for Education Statistics - The main federal agency responsible for collecting and analyzing data that is related to education.

National Center for Special Education Research -This center sponsors a comprehensive program of special education research designed to expand the knowledge and understanding of infants, toddlers and children with disabilities.

National Center for Health Statistics - The center is a key element of our national public health infrastructure, providing important surveillance information that helps identify and address critical health problems. As the Nation's principal health statistics agency, NCHS compiles statistical information to guide actions and policies to improve the health of our people.

Interagency Committee on Disability Research - The Interagency Committee on Disability Research (ICDR), authorized by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, is mandated "to promote coordination and cooperation among Federal departments and agencies conducting rehabilitation research programs

National Center on Workforce and Disability - This center provides training, technical assistance, policy analysis, and information to improve access for all in the workforce development system.

Law, Health Policy & Disability Center - The center conducts basic and applied research. Research topics include employment of people with disabilities, civil rights, and federal and state generic and disability policy.

Program for Disability Research - The Program for Disability Research (PDR) is a constituent unit of the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and a unit of the Disability Research Institute (DRI). The DRI, composed of a consortium of universities, is the first research institute financed by the United States Social Security Administration to conduct investigations in the area of disability.

Independent Living Research Utilization - ILRU, founded in 1975, has a long history of providing research, education and consultation in the areas of independent living, the Americans with Disabilities Act, home and community based services and health issues for people with disabilities.

The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research - TIRR is regarded as a world leader in medical rehabilitation and research.  TIRR's Spinal Cord Injury Program has been a Model System with funding by the U.S. Department of Education for over 30 years. The Brain Injury Research Center at TIRR is currently funded by three grants from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research.

Within our Reach - The National Task Force on Technology and Disability (NTFTD) is a blue ribbon panel of industry, academia, advocates, educators, and government. Funded by a grant from the CS Mott Foundation, the NTFTD has recently released a report, "Within Our Reach - Findings and Recommendations of the National Task Force on Technology and Disability".

Technology for Independence Community Based Resource Center - The purpose of the Technology for Independence: Community-Based Resource Center (TI-CBRC) is to facilitate the development of real-world, scientifically rigorous knowledge and research on assistive technology and environmental access for persons with disabilities in partnership with disability researchers, disability advocates, community-based organizations, and other disability community members.

Disability Research Institute - The Institute conducts cutting-edge research with teams across the nation to develop high-quality research that directly informs disability policy decision-makers in new and innovative ways.

National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth - The NCWD-Y website provides useful information and resources for youth with disabilities and their families, service providers and other front line workers, administrators, policy makers and employers. The content is continually updated and features access to such materials as an information brief on "How Young People Can Benefit from One-Stop Centers," frequently asked questions pertinent to specific audiences, materials on promising practices and procedures in workforce development as well as the latest information on the Collaborative's activities.

National Longitudinal Transition Study - The National Longitudinal Transition Study-2 (NLTS2) is a study begun in 2001, focusing on a wide range of important topics, such as high school coursework, extracurricular activities, academic performance, post secondary education and training, employment, independent living, and community participation.

NICHCY - The National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities, will be serving as a central source of information on: IDEA, the nation's special education law, No Child Left Behind (as it relates to children with disabilities), and Research-based information on effective educational practices
